About
Biography
Chris Tapia is a full-time musician, multi-instrumentalist, and composer. Soon after he first picked up a guitar at age 10, he did his first multi-track recording using two boomboxes, drum sticks, a pillow and phone book as a kick and snare, then recorded his guitar over it. The final product was awful, but it was the beginning of a lifelong journey in creating and recording music.
Alongside his love of music was his love of video games, starting in early childhood. It didn’t take long for those paths to cross and he soon began loving and appreciating the memorable music he heard in the games he played. And as with most things in his life, his admiration of the game music spawned a desire to create it himself.
After playing in several bands and fronting a few, he began composing music for commercials, independent films, and web videos in 2010. He is currently the frontman for original rock band Mega Negative, lead guitarist and producer for live karaoke band The Screamalongs, and in-house composer for Albino Moose Games.
